The Living Commons Lab

The applied research space of the European Center for Limbic Sovereignty

The Living Commons Lab is a prototyping space.

It is a place where we slow down enough for fragile ideas to emerge — and where we train ourselves to think with AI without giving up human agency.

People move through different “cognitive postures”:

the Slow Room, the Idea Scaffolding Room, and the Ethical Training Room.

Why a lab

When humans feel calmer, they can think more clearly.

And when they think more clearly, they can imagine viable futures together — the most basic definition of democracy.

The Lab exists to turn this into repeatable formats.

We develop and test:

  • small-group formats,
  • calm dialogue protocols,
  • civic imagination sessions,
  • coherence rituals,
  • consent-based, non-manipulative AI interaction norms
